PEAS AND PANEER CURRY

Ingredients:

Dry Peas 3/4 cup
Potato 1
Carrot 1
Chopped Onion 1/2 cup
Finely cut tomatoes 2
Garlic 1 flake
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Salt
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Paneer cubes or ricotta cheese 2 tsps
Coriander leaves

For seasoning:

Oil or ghee 4 tbsps
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Cloves 3
Cinnamon small piece

Method:

Soak dry peas whole night. Cook this soaked peas, potato and carrot in pressure cooker.

Cut garlic into small pieces. Heat ghee in a skillet, add garlic, ginger ,onion and other seasoning. Fry well till the ghee separates from it.

Then add cooked and coarsely mashed potatoes and carrots. Continue frying for few minutes. Add cooked peas, cover the lid and bring it to boil. Sprinkle salt, sugar and chilli powder. Boil for another 4 minutes. Mix paneer cubes or ricotta cheese. After mixing don't boil for long time.

Garnish with cut coriander leaves.

Serve hot with chapathis and puris.
